Biography

As a native South Floridian, Osvaldo "Ozzie" Silvera, has 19 years of
television and film production experience.

His love affair for the camera began as early as sixteen when his high school
began a television production class. Upon graduation, he went to the
Career Institute of America, a video and audio school, located in Miami
Beach, FL. After program completion, he quickly entered the workforce
when he began working at Broadcast Quality, a video production company
specializing in Corporate & Legal video productions. With some experience
under his belt, Ozzie left Broadcast Quality and entered the world of
freelance - shooting low budget music videos. Still eager to learn more
about the industry he began working nights at Accord Productions as their
night-time editor. His time as an overnight editor lasted for only a year
before he again entered the freelance world working as a Director of
Photography on commercials, documentaries, music videos and
independent features.

In 1998, while working as a Senior Camera Operator, at a Barry Diller
television station, the station acquired a Steadicam but did not have anyone
to operate it. It was here where Ozzie began the next chapter of his career
as a Steadicam operator.

Ozzie continues to live in South Florida even though his work takes him all
over the world to such places as Germany, Brazil, Dominican Republic or
anywhere a Production needs his expertise. Currently he  is  working as a
Director of Photography and Camera Operator on a variety of reality
shows for many network and cable outlets.
